Chand Baori Located on the Jaipur-Agra National Highway (NH-11), located at a distance of only a few kilometers from Sikandra town, called the heart of Dausa district, Abhaneri village. According to information known to the archaeological residues, the village of Abhaneri can be more than 3000 years old and it is situated in this village "Chand Baawdi". The initial name of the village of Abhaneri was "Abha Nagri", but its name was changed to the earliest times. The construction of this Bawdi built in the 9th century is known as the King Mihir Bhoj, and in the name of him, the name of this child was Chand Baawadi. The world's deepest bawdi is around 35 meters wide and the staircase from top to bottom has remained fixed so that the level of water can be filled easily. This 13-storeyed basi is more than 70 feet deep, in which there are 1300 stairs in the form of a maze. In front of it is the famous Harshad Mata temple. Some traditions related to the construction of Bawdi are also prevalent, such that this Bawdi was constructed by the ghosts and it was made so deep that if any object fell into it, then it is impossible to get back.
